Plagiarism is a considered academic dishonesty and can result in 3 different disciplinary actions. According to the KU handbook for writing, the disciplinary actions are 1. automatic failure of the paper 2. Automatic failure of the class and 3. Expelled for Kaplan University. It is very important that you cite everything that you write and give credit to the author who wrote it. A good way to help you cite paper the correct way is to start researching your paper early. Long papers that are said to be 7-10 pages are very easy to get lost in and not properly cite. I hope that this blog was helpful!!

Wow, thanks for letting me know what it says in the handbook. I totally didn't even think about to look it up! That's awesome. It was very helpful. Have you ever been plagarized?
ReplyDeleteI have and believe me I was very upset about it. I thought that my paper was great and I gave myself enough to write it, plus the paper was 9 pages long. This happened last term in A&P I, my paper was on the Nervous System. I deeply afraid that it may happen again because to my knowledge I had done everything write.

I know a lot of people dont take it to heart about the thing that we do by not giving credit were it is due and to whom it is due. Some will take the credit for others work and it is not right and I do agree whit what you wrote thanks.
